Developed by Joseph Pilates in the 20th Century, Pilates referred to the exercise techniques as a method that encourages using the mind to control the body.

Pilates can be practised by all persons and using core postural muscles to help support the spine, allowing the body to become supple and strong in a safe and effective way.
I first came across Pilates after a shoulder injury. Pilates helped me to strengthen my shoulder and has made a huge difference in the way I use my muscles and re-align the body.
